Walking Tours on the Amalfi Coast
Day 1. Saturday.

Afternoon arrival at hotel in Ravello. Check-in and free time before dinner and a short briefing regarding the next day's walk. Concert at Villa Rufolo at 9.30 p.m..

Day 2. Sunday -Ravello

Breakfast. Departure at 10.00 a.m. for a guided walk through the alleys and narrow streets, discovering the medieval quarters of Ravello. We'll visit the Church of San Giovanni Del Toro,which has a characteristic little square, and then proceed on to Piazza Fontana, returning then to the main square for a guided visit of Villa Rufolo, the venue of the Wagnerian Music Concerts, which has breathtaking views over the Amalfi Coast. ( time 3hrs 40 mins. Level Easy. Clear paths.)

Day 3. Monday -Scala to Amalfi.

A walk that will take you down the picturesque Roman footpath known as Via Fiume (River Street),that leads from Ravello to Atrani. The square of this charming little village is dominated by the church of San Salvatore Di Bireto. The walk then continues to Amalfi. One of the coast's most important churches is situated here in the main square. The Cathedral of S.Andrea (St.Andrew) rises above the square. Its magnificence recalls the time when Amalfi was one of the four maritime republics during the Middle Ages. Amalfi proudly claims that its sailors were the first to use the marine compass invented by a historic native of Amalfi, Flavio Gioia. You will then have free time in Amalfi. Return to Ravello is by local bus. ( Walking time 3 hrs. 30 mins. Level :Moderate).
Dinner at 8.00 p.m. in hotel.

Day 4. Tuesday.

Day free for individual activities.

Day 5 Wednesday - Scala to the Tower of the Ziro. 

Departure from Ravello, through narrow alleyways as far as the little village of Minuta. From Minuta our walk continues on to Pontone, then on to the final stretch to this tower, which was once a part of the Republic's defence system. It was also where Joan, the Duchess of Aragon was imprisoned. Its strategic position guarantees once of the most suggestive views of the Coast. Return to Ravello on foot.

Day 6 Thursday - Pompei.

Departure after breakfast by private minibus to Pompei, where we will meet a fully qualified guide of the excavations. Exclusive 2hr walking tour through the ruins of the Roman city completely destroyed by the 79 a.d. eruption of Vesuvius.(Time approx. 5hrs. Level : Easy).
Free afternoon.
Dinner at 8.00p.m

Day 7 Friday - Scala to Ravello.

Departure at 10.00 a.m. after breakfast for a guided walk to and through the narrow streets and alleyways of Ravello to discover the medieval origins to the town. We'll visit the square of San Giovanni del Toro and its church of the same name, after which our walk continues down a little characteristic lane to Piazza Fontana. We'll then return to the main square for a guided visit of the Villa Rufolo, venue of the Wagner Festival Concerts, with its breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast .

Dinner at 8.00 p.m.

Day 7. Saturday.

Departure after breakfast for a breathtaking walk up into the hills to this ancient convent which enjoys one of the most splendid views of the Coast.
